Hi guys
Just a quick update here on Tuesday 3 December, to let you all know that I have been told I can go home tomorrow, to sleep in my bed, watch my TV and but still eat hospital food!
But this is only because I’m still Have a fair way to go in learning to eat and drink again and there is still a whole physical programme to work on to get my body working fully again. But at least it will be at home.
It’s been great to see more do friends today in hospital and I will be great to more of you when I’m home. I also know that after Christmas I will need to start a 6 weeks course of radio therapy, so I just going to enjoy Christmas with our families and the great community of friends around us who have been a great source of food and blessed to us and my family and hopefully start to enjoy the pleasures of eating and drinking nice stuff over Christmas.
Hopefully see you all soon.
Neil

Dear Neil!!
I’m so sorry to hear about what you have been, and are going through, and also so glad to hear that you are doing better now. News is not reaching me in ‘real-time’ at the moment with two small kids and also being so far away. So now was the first time to heat about this. So I’m sorry that I haven’t sent you a message earlier.
My thoughts goes out to you and your family.
All the best
Big hugs,
Elin

Dearest Neil, Sue, Dan, Sophy and Amy
I am SOoo sorry we haven’t written before but please be assured that you have (all) been so very much in our thoughts and prayers through this difficult roller coaster of a time for you.
It is wonderful to hear that you are home now Neil with your lovely family all around you. As you say in your blog it is time to enjoy all things Christmas and when January comes, we know the Lord will continue to be with you through your radiotherapy sessions.
We thank God that He has His hand upon you through all of this and pray that you will continue to know His peace and feel His presence each and every day.
Very very very much love to all of you, Gray n’ Viv xxx

Hey Neil – I’m sure that all your friends were, like me, holding their breath when you had your op and are now beginning to breathe again after the good news that the hopsital are kicking you. So pleased to read your latest blogs(Thank you Sue: you did a great job filling in) and to see that you are making progress day by day. Long may it last and increase when you are back in the confort of your home surrounded by love and prayers. Enjoy! Lx
Ps Didn’t anyone mention that other ways to loose weight were dieting or a gastric band, rather than a 57-staple scar to prevent you swallowing your Pepsi Max for a while ;)?
