New Little Visitor!

New Little Visitor!

Today we had a little visitor waiting on our steps when the girls got home from school.

The visitor was a hungry baby squirrel. Amy helpfully feed the baby Squirrel, which she named ‘Charlie‘ as they didn’t know if it was a boy or girl! with dry roasted peanuts.

After housing the very tame little hungry squirrel in a shoe box and woolly golf hat, ‘Charlie‘ was taken to a animal rescue center, because there was no adult squirrels on hand, to give the baby back too!!!

Charlie‘ is now happy re homed in a rescue centre with other squirrels, a parrot, hedgehogs, 10 dog and cats etc….

Holiday Wk 2 @ Padstow, Cornwall

After New Wine, we worked our way down to Haryln Sand Holiday Park, just outside Padstow in Cornwall. This is our third visit to this site, last time was 2006. We set up camp on arrival at the beach field site. This site is great as we get an electric hook up, which means we could have the cold food stored in the electric cooler box!!!

The weather was mixed all week, with the morning being overcast and showers, with the afternoons and evenings brightening up. The beach was only 5 mins away and we donned our wetsuits and body boarded, swam and kayak when we had a clearer sky. Other wise we regularly used the heated indoor swimming pool on site.

We also visited Padstow and Crealy, Devon’s Favourite Tourist Attraction! Which is billed as a great ‘Theme Park’, but is more like an adventure farm!!! with a couple of rides. Saying that after our disappointment with it being so full we had a fun day. We even went back again on your way home as we had free entry for another day!!!

So despite the weather. we did had a fun week together and that now it back to work for another year!!

Holiday Wk 1 @ New Wine 2010

We had a great week with many old friends camping @ the Royal Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet, Somerset at an event Called New Wine. Which is a quote from the New Wine Web Site:

“A GATHERING PLACE FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND BACKGROUNDS TO COME AND ENJOY INSPIRING TEACHING, SPIRIT-FILLED WORSHIP, EXCELLENT KIDS’ GROUPS, RELAXATION, FUN AND FRIENDSHIP. WHETHER ON YOUR OWN, WITH YOUR CHURCH, WITH FAMILY OR FRIENDS, COME AND BE INSPIRED TO CHANGE LIVES, COMMUNITIES AND THE NATION!”

We was join in our camp village by 6 other families, all from different parts of the country, also being alongside 12,000 other people.

We enjoyed a week of fun and laughter and had great spiritual input form the various worship and seminars. There was a lot to take in and learn from and now its a case of working all we heard through.

The weather was great, with only showered during the night.

That’s it for another year folks! See you all next year!
